The EOS Visionary

EOS Visionary

In EOS, the Visionary is one of the two key leadership positions, alongside the Integrator. Typically, the Visionary is the founder of the company and is responsible for maintaining major client relationships and staying attuned to industry trends.

The Visionary is often driven by emotion and can introduce a degree of chaos into the business. This dynamic is akin to the concept of healthy conflict in the 5 Behaviors model, where ideas are presented to the team, debated, and ultimately refined to determine the best path forward.

Accountability can be a challenge for Visionaries, as they are constantly experimenting, exploring new ideas, and pushing boundaries. Their strength lies in their ability to step back, view problems from different perspectives, and solve significant issues. However, they may struggle with smaller, day-to-day problems, necessitating a strong Integrator to provide balance.

So, what makes the Visionary such a crucial role?

A significant part of the Visionary’s job is to challenge the status quo. They inspire the team to step out of their comfort zones and aim for greater achievements. Visionaries set the tone for the company’s culture, values, and language. They establish the vision and drive the business forward.
